Thurso 2024

I’ve been coming up to this part of Scotland since the eighties, firstly a trip with Rudi & Teen in a Type 2 VW, where we surfed Brimms and East, on our own and were immediately captivated by firstly the quality of the surf and secondly by the remote and unpublished secret of this corner of Scotland. The best wave in Europe? Probably not, as Mundaka holds that crown and supertubes is probably more consistent BUT Thurso East is world class, without a doubt. Witness this, my 12th Scottish Championships; pumping quality waves and Mediterranean sunshine, probabaly if Tennants had thought of a different advertising campaign…
