Softly softly, vulgar Holga, portraits

Posted on August 5, 2011

An impromptu fishing trip with the boys was an excuse to shoot some portraits with ‘the plastic one’ as the Holga lens  is now known and I am quite liking the 1950’s feel to the shots, (probably coz it’s when most of the subject matter was born!). Attached to the 1D mk2 this time giving a focal length of approx.  78mm on the 1.3 crop sensor and using manual mode with the luxury of post processing the RAW image, I’m finding I get quite a high percentage of keepers.

Click on the images to make them bigger and marvel at the super softness of the mass production plastic lens..
