Everyday has been like a bank holiday, and with the mother of all bank holidays; a sunny end of August one, bearing down on us, it was time to leave the village against the incoming hordes and get up on the roof again. Ashcombe up to Prayway head and back down Lime combe to Simonsbath is an easy 5 miler and with perfect weather. It was easy to idle away the holiday mayhem.

Plenty of water opening the cracks due to recent thunderstorms
