After the rain we were presented with a calm and sunny weekend here in North Devon.

Time to get out on the moor for the first time in ages in search of bluebells. The woods along Hoar Oak Water were filled with the smell of wild garlic.

The trees were showing off their fresh leaves, looking almost florescent in the spring sunshine.

The oaks, however are still not convinced that it’s really spring.

However the river is looking stunning.

Finally some bluebells

And time for lunch..

At a scenic spot

Then a Grey Wagtail fluttered by

Followed by a Dipper

Foraging at the bottom of the waterfall.

At home in the fast flowing water

Here’s the moment that the male dipper brought a grub for the female, who was looking after the eggs/ children (not quite sure where the nest is but it must be nearby).

Nice place to bring up children.

Fujifilm.
