Dance dance dance to the Ocktorbro radio ..
Last minute bolt to the rock for some birthday fresh air.
End of season vibes
The black shed and a corrugated iron building, ( A man walks into a swedish chemist …etc
New pony welcome
And lens lick.
Still autumnal skies
and autumnal puddles.
Plenty of birds migrating through, Martin
With the usual preditors waiting for them
Kestrel; shrew lunch.
Starlings hitching a ride.
Still on the island after its accident on Air Day, this blue browned, greenish bird. All fixed up now.
Peregrine on a rock.
Crashing swell on the westside
Vestry shrew; Veronica.
The old vestry, attached to the church, has been Landmarked up to a very high standard, with a light and airey bed/ sitting room upstairs
A feature window:
and a compact kitchen with breakfast bar and solid fuel wenlock, downstairs.
Perfectly adequate for one or two people, close to the Tavern and shop, but ..
The lack of an outside window where you can sit and storm watch is the deal breaker for me. And the nightmares, ….and scratching noises, and the singing..
This window has a view but unfortunately no roof!
Lundy weather incoming.
Tom says Hi!
Fire crew tea break
The pub when it’s empty, with just shadows on the walls.
The pub when it’s full, looking into the darkness.
All in all another fabulous stay on the rock, helicopter ride there because of the easterly winds and a quiet boat on the return journey, with just 55 passengers. This rainstorm chased us all the way home though.
Thanks for looking.
